We use this unit on a sailboat. Have only used a few times so far but we found that the unit cools down very quickly if started on high cool for an hour or so, then will stay cool with setting on lowest possible setting. Unit was easy to secure due to handles and rubber protection and sailing at an angle doesn't seem to effect the unit. We have run the unit, on low, for 24 hours, using a bank of 2 house marine gel batteries, and had no trouble starting the engine with the same bank! This is a great product, reccomended by other sailors.
